GoodAh!!!

When television celebrity Boy Abunda was just starting his career in the 1980s, he was a regular at GoodAh!!!, the 25-hour quick-service restaurant that served rice meals and congee.

GoodAh!!! was a concept ahead of its time in the local dining industry when it opened 33 years ago. In fact, its tagline “Open 25 hours” is an assurance that people from all walks of life, from office workers to jeepney drivers, had a place to go to no matter the time of day or night for their fix of lugaw and goto, and popular breakfast fare, namely tapa, tocino and longanisa.

Did you know that it was Goodah!!! that coined the term tapsi to refer to an order of tapa and sinangag? The addition of a fried egg to a rice meal resulted in the staple that is now commonly known as tapsilog.

Through the years, its menu expanded to include a variety of Filipino favorites that are now staples in eateries and restaurants throughout the country. Aside from tapsilog, there is tosilog, longsilog, adsilog (adobo, sinangag and fried egg), and bangsilog (daing na bangus, sinangag and fried egg).

That’s why when Boy was invited to become a business partner of Goodah!!!, he did not hesitate in accepting the offer. In a way, it was his life coming full circle: from regular customer to business partner at the restaurant he loved.

Boy’s favorite at GoodAh!!! has always been its bistek, the favorite Pinoy dish of stir-fried tender beef marinated in soy sauce and citrus.

Boy, who knows his way around the kitchen, has his own recipe for bistek that he is sharing with GoodAh!!!. In fact, the restaurant has adopted Boy’s version of bistek for its restaurants and is renaming it as GoodAh!!! Boy’s Bistek in his honor.

After 33 years, GoodAh!!! is set to redefine the restaurant landscape with its patented brand of quick meals and personalized service with a casual dining ambience. It is a dining institution that today’s millennials will surely embrace with its delicious value-form-money meals, just as many Pinoy food lovers have in the past.

Tasting Mr. Pizza

The number 1 pizza chain in Korea finally is here in the Philippines! The first branch of Mr Pizza is now open in Greenbelt 3 and ready to serve the popular gourmet pizza.

I was invited to the media launch of Mr. Pizza recently, and it was a good tasting experience!
Pizza is one of the most food that I'm always craving for, I'm a certified pizza lover and this was my first time experiencing pizza with a Korean kick.

As what I've thought and expected the resto would be so inviting to diners, and be more exciting from the usual pizza chain I've been before, from the logo, the set up where in there's a part in the middle connecting to the kitchen that they do the pizza dough, yes they do it from scratch and I love how it was done, they rotate it in their hands and throwing up, continues process and then you will see the dough spreads and be a pizza dough, really cool for me. even the menu has its artsy side its like a fold-able pizza and I think the main purpose of this is to actually see the sizes of the pizza whether it'll be regular or large, another unique concept to love.

Let's talk about the taste of Mr. Pizza, on my first bite of their pizza, my tongue can feel the difference between the pizzas I've tasted before. The pizza dough is so soft and so easy to chew maybe because Mr. Pizza dough are hand 100% hand stretched, it means it is streched from a scratch dough to be circle and transform in a pizza dough, actually you can see them do it in their kitchen area.

Aside from pizza, Mr Pizza offers other side dish like Mozarella sticks, Pastas chicken like Mr. & Mrs chicken.
